Marg Helgenberger Says 12th Season Of 'CSI' Is Her Last!

There were serious rumors that Marg Helgenberger wouldn't even be returning for this season of CSI but that was soon dismissed.

Marg and new co-star Ted Danson joned a panel to discuss the upcoming 12th season of the hit CBS show on Wednesday. During the discussion, Danson opening said he's thrilled to be a part of the cast while Helgenberger stated that she plans to make the 12th season her last. She claimed to have a hard time letting go, hence her decision to stay on for now:
having a hard time letting go and that I was not yet done playing this character. That’s why I decided to extend (my contract) a little bit.”
Helgenberger plays the role of Catherine Willows on the show and is one of the few remaining stars from the original cast. I haven't really kept up on the show but I watched last season's final & thought it was crap...hopefully Danson can help them out a bit.

Ted Danson Is A New Investigator On 'CSI'!

I loved him in Cheers and he's hilarious in Bored to Death and is great when he does guest appearances on Curb Your Enthusiasm but do I see Ted Danson as a CSI Investgator?

Nope.

CSI has been seriously been going down hill since Grissom left. So far the writers and producers have failed at attempting to get it to be even 1/2 as good as it used to be by adding Laurence Fishburne (who left at the end of last season). Now they're adding Ted in hopes that his name & talent will save it but...I think it's a lost cause.

The 63-year-old actor got himself an Emmy nomination for playing a villain on FX's Damages but I just don't see it.
"You can create a new character on the page, but until the perfect actor comes along and breathes life into it, it's just words," executive producer Carol Mendelsohn says. "We're very excited Ted Danson came along."

"From the moment we all started talking about the role, it was clear he couldn't be more perfect," adds executive producer Don McGill. "Intelligence, wit, warmth, depth of character and emotion, he brings it all. And now he'll have to bring latex gloves, too."
Guess we'll just have tune in & see how it goes...

WatchTons Of Stars In New 'Beasty Boys' Short Film

'The Beastie Boys' aren't just doing music anymore. Looks like they tried their hands at directing in their new short film 'Fight For Your Right Revisited' staring what looks like half of all Hollywood's top stars.

A second short film will be released on May 3, 2011 in conjunction with their new album 'Hot Sauce Committee Part 2'.

Here the video:

And if you didn't spot them already, the 'Beastie Boys' made a cameo in the film as well...as the police officers, ha ha.
