'Dexter' Season 6 Trailer & Spoilers!

A trailer for the season 6 of Showtime's hit show Dexter premiered at Comic-Con this week and man does it look good!

Michael C. Hall is back and is better than ever. From the looks of it the writers have Dexter back to his original ways, killing...which I"m happy about. I wasn't a big fan of him trying to be family man, it bored me.

I'm excited about the upcoming season, which airs October 3, 2011.

Season 6 spoilers -->
  • Dexter feels ill equipped to provide the right guidance to his son, and worries about passing the "Dark Passenger" to Harrison, so he turns to religion to help his son, something Dexter himself has never really explored.
  •  Harrison is definitely older, so there's something of a time jump. The two actors playing Harrison have aged to learn the word "no," so more improvising in the scenes is required.
  • LaGuerta and Batista will be "very spicy" this year.
  • He's completely "unplugged" from the experience of dating, getting back in his element as far as killing.
  • Masuka will have his crew of interns to deal with this year, and will definitely have "an interesting  time." On the Dexter facebook site you can play an online game to be Masuka's "Intern of the week."
  • There definitely won't be any more attempts to tie the series into the Jeff Lindsay books.  "We don't even read the books," said executive producer Sara Cottleton.
  • Will Deborah find out more about the secret, given what happened in the season five finale?  "Deb is very smart.  Dexter is smarter," said executive producer Scott Buck.  But what about Quinn?  "Dexter is definitely smarter."
  • OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION:  Rita was killed by the Trinity killer.  No ambiguity about it. Most of Colin Hanks scenes are with Edward James Olmos, while Mos Def works more with Michael C. Hall.
  • Can't say for sure if we'll see Astor and Cody again, but they'll definitely be referenced, and weighing on Dexter's mind.

Edward James Olmos Joins The 6th Season Of 'Dexter'!

Wow...it seems like the producers of Showtimes hit show 'Dexter' aren't going let the show die down one bit because they just keep adding and adding new cast members to the upcoming season.

Just a few weeks ago it was announced that Colin Hanks would be joining the cast for season 6 of the show and now it seems that they've also added the great actor Edward James Olmos into the mix.

Olmos will be playing the role of a “brilliant, charismatic professor of religious studies.”

I also forgot to post about it but Mos (post previously known as Mos Def) will also be joining the show and will play the role of Brother Sam, an ex-con who claims to have found religion but is still surrounded by violence.

I'm addicted to this show & I cant wait until it premieres in the fall!

Colin Hanks Joins The Cast Of 'Dexter'!

I can't wait for Showtime's 'Dexter' to return for it's 6th season! I've watched this show from the beginning and it's never ever gotten boring.

Colin Hanks, son of the great actor Tom Hanks is joining the cast of 'Dexter'.  There's no word on what character Colin will be playing or whether he'll be on Dexter's good or bad side.

The show's executive producer has said that the show will not have one core opponent  in which Dexter goes after, as he's done in the 5 season before.

I think Colin Hanks is super talented so it's going to be interesting to see who he plays on the show.

Michael C. Hall Walks Home After Yoga Class

The hot 'Dexter' star keeps healthy by attending a Yoga class near his home in CA. Michael C. Hall recently split from wife and 'Dexter' co-star Jennifer Carpenter after nearly two years of marriage. Jennifer Carpenter officially filed for divorce from the stud in December, claiming irreconcilable differences.

The buzz around the Hollywood net was that thee marriage problems began after Michael and Julia Stiles were cast together in this season of the SHOWTIME hit show. Julia Stiles released a statement to People magazine about the rumor:
“I have absolutely nothing to do with the split between Michael and Jennifer. We are good friends and enjoyed working together,”
I really thought they'd make it through, especially after Michael C. Hall's recovery from cancer. Either way, I just hope their issues don't leak onto the Dexter set. That show it too precious to ruin because of a little Hollywood divorce.

Do you watch Dexter? Have you read the books?
