Melissa McCarthy & Jason Bateman Team Up For New Movie!

These two are on fire when it comes to making movies!

Jason Bateman is set to star and produce the upcoming Universal comedy ID Theft and has just signed the Bridesmaids superstar to co-star in it with him.

According to Deadline, the movie was originally about a guy who gets his identity stolen by another guy. This all changed after Bateman saw Melissa McCarthy in the summer hit and pushed for her to be written in.

So it looks like Bateman's character's identity won't be stolen by a man but by a woman now. Nice!

Shooting is believed to begin in April 2012, once McCarthy's show Mike & Molly goes on hiatus. I'm actually looking forward to this movie, sounds original and with these two in the lead I'm sure it's going to get a lot of laughs.

Melissa McCarthy Joins 'Knocked Up' Spin-Off

Melissa McCarthy has made one hell of an impression on the world since co-staring in Bridesmaids. Honestly, she stole a lot of the scenes and made me laugh more than any other star in that movie.

Seems she's made a nice impression on writer-director Judd Apatow too because he's just signed her onto his new Knocked Up spin-off staring his cute wife Leslie Mann and funnyman Paul Rudd.

Melissa will be playing the mother of a child that attends the same school as Manns' and Rudd's children. This spin-off will revolve around Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann, who were the supporting cast members in Knocked Up, as the true stars of the film, chronicling their life raising children in their forties.

I like this idea, the first movie sort of bombed for me.

In other news, Judd Apatow is putting together a new movie script with Melissa McCarthy and the sexy Jon Hamm in mind. Now that should be interesting.

Funny ladies, Kristen Wiig, Ellie Kemper, Maya Rudolph, Melissa McCarthy and Wendi McLendon-Covey got together for a fabulously cute fashion spread for Haper's Bazaar May 2011 issue.

In the issue Ellie Kemper is quoted as saying
