Jewel & Ty Murray Welcome A Son!

The 37-year-old musician and her rodeo star husband Ty Murray welcomed a son at 7pm on Monday.

Their son was born in Texas and weighed 7-pound 6-ounces. Jewel and Ty named their new bundle of joy Kase Townes Murray.

Not too sure on how I feel about the name, I mean it could for sure be worse.

Jewel posted the following message to her fans on her website after having Kase:

"Ty and I are so pleased to welcome our new baby boy into the world,” Jewel in a statement posted on her personal website. “We are overcome with happiness — it really is as great as everyone told us it would be — better even!”

I've been a fan of hers for years so this time I actually mean it when I say, congratulations to them!

Pregnant Musician Jewel Was In A Traffic Collision

36-year-old singer/songwriter Jewel was in a 2 car traffic collision this morning while driving in Stephenville, Texas.

Jewel reported she was pregnant two months ago and TMZ reports that a volunteer fire truck reportedly hit the passenger side of her car.  This is her and husband pro rodeo cowboy Ty Murray first child together.

The singers rep confirmed that she and the baby are alright and Jewel decided to update her fans by posting this on twitter:

I'm super glad that she and her baby are doing fine.
